  • Provide secure footing with spring, allowing your horses to develop their paces and improve their way of going.  The result - a better performance during the dressage test.

Martin Collins Durable Equine SurfacesMartin Collins arenas and gallops are precision-installed.

  • Our surfaces are individually blended to suit your requirements and geographic location.
  • With correct maintenance, we fully expect our surfaces to perform consistently for many years. Some of our customers with heavy-use surfaces are still getting great performance more than 15 years after installation.
  • Martin Collins Safety FirstWe know how tough eventing can be on your horses’ joints and limbs.  So, we understand how important it is that your training surface:

  • does not increase the "wear and tear" when preparing for competitions
  • supports the limbs but has controlled shear on top to promote movement
  • Our surfaces are designed to replicate good turf  and reduce injury risks.

    Identifying your needs

    Willian has a 4.5 furlong Activ-track Gallop:

“I am very fortunate to have a Martin Collins Activ-track surface on my gallop. It is an essential facility for getting my horses fit throughout the year and cold, wet or dry spells no longer interrupt my training. There is never a day I can’t use my gallop, and this is invaluable to me.”

    William Fox-Pitt

“Our Activ-Track gallop gives clients the option to still be able to canter their horses, even when the surrounding ground might not be suitable for faster work. In addition, the slow-climbing hill setting of the gallop provides excellent fitness training for all types of horses and ponies - we have a huge variety of people using them from all disciplines”. Emma Latham , owner.

    Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre

"Being based in the West of Scotland we are not blessed with the best of weather - therefore, it is imperative that we have good all weather facilities. We have just resurfaced our indoor school, following a flood, with Activ-Track supplied by Martin Collins. We could not be happier; this surface is light, yet very stable and lovely to work on. At the same time Martin Collins constructed an all-weather gallop for us, and having had a very wet and cold/frosty winter we have still managed to get full use out of the surface every day allowing us to continue to keep horses in work. I would strongly recommend Martin Collins and Activ-track to everyone as it has definitely been a worthwhile addition to our facilities".
